As a brand, it’s extremely important to be relevant and timely in your social media marketing. This week we have a very important day of both remembrance and honor of the people who fight for our freedom and have risked their lives in the United States. While it’s important to make sure you’re generating unique content it’s also super important that brands stay on topic without exploiting the Holiday for financial gain.
Think about Veteran’s and Their Families– Make sure that you’re really incorporating veterans in your promotions, think about a way you can benefit them in whatever you’re selling to give them an offer that is unique. Another thing brands can do is give proceeds to the Veteran’s Outreach Center from that day’s sales or from sales on a specific product.
Authenticity– What does veterans day mean at its core? Remember who we’re doing it for and why. If nothing else, giving time is more important than money. Take the time out to do something as an organization that will directly benefit Veteran’s and their families, show your support in more ways than money and being authentic.
With these tips in mind, you can make the most out of Veteran’s Day and give back to people in need. It is important to remember that while generating unique content is important, it’s even more important to not just be apart of the trend but to be both meaningful and authentic.
